Do you know anyone who can talk you into a daze?
People who can say things you take literally?
People you're never really sure of what they're saying or what they mean?
If you're nodding your head, then you have been the victim of sarcasm.
I have never mastered the art of irony or sarcasm. I don't often laugh
when others do and I hardly ever see the humor or get the gist! I DO get satire; especially British satire. But sarcasm often seems to be a way putting others down. Easy points, if you know what I mean.
But, ok, it could just be me! Color me dumb!
Below, I've added a little joke my sister sent me.
Now THAT I do understand!! :)

That was just another of my thoughts blowing in the wind.
Happy Wednesday!!

Saturday Photo Hunt - The Theme is "Funny Signs"
Yes, Ladies and Gentlemen - there IS a town in Denmark called Middelfart. I laughed so hard the first time I saw the town sign, that I almost got lost and made a wrong turn. Middelfart is the last town before the bridge to Jutland! Look it up! Not far from there is a town called ASSens! The anecdote the Danes love to tell, is about the time the British queen came to visit Copenhagen. One of the tour planners noticed that there was a little sign that lit up in all the elevators in the hotel. The sign read: "I fart." Which, in Danish means, "in motion." To solve the problem, they covered all the signs in all the elevators of this hotel until the Royal visit had ended! Can you imagine everyone getting in these elevators and thinking, Wow, this elevator has gas!?
Happy Weekend

Saturday Photo Hunt - The Theme is "13"
Here we are on one of the many charming streets of Paris. I love the shabbiness of this building. It has life lines like the neck and face of people who have really livedlife. -By the way - I ought to mention that the house number is 13. But you really need to see the picture in a larger version to see it!!
BTW - Please read the warning below.

My Birthday Present
As many of you know - I'm a music person. I love instruments and as a music teacher I have to play a bit on all of them!!(recorder, flute, bass, drums, keyboards, guitar and xylophone!!!)
But first and foremost I teach singing, choir and play the piano.
Wonderful! She earns a living at what she loves best - You all must be saying to your computer screens - but not so. Having to play piano from 3-5 hours a day can get tiring! When I get home I can hardly drag my sorry behind to the piano to practice, or to my guitar or hubby's bass for that matter!! I needed a change and a change is what I'm getting!! I've always wanted to play the harp. I love Celtic music - probably because I never get the chance to play it - so hubby has bought me a harp from a shop in London!! We ordered it as a kit so hubby can assemble it for me- which makes it even more wonderful!!!Being a piano player I'm sure I'll be able to play the harp - so I'm so thrilled!
Here is a picture of the 22 stringed harp - I'm getting the 33 stringed version!

Saturday Photo Hunt - The Theme is "Twisted"
I searched high and low for something twisted, (besides my mind!) for this week's twisted photo. I have no photos of twisted car wrecks or anything exciting at all.
But I did find my hand mixer. It is probably the most twisted thing I have. But it sure comes in handy!
Happy Saturday

They are make by Holmegaard of Denmark.
From the left is the red wine glass, the white wine glass and last but not least a little Snaps glass!
