Something classic,in my opinion,is long-lasting; has staying power; doesn't become trivial. There are many things that are considered classic, such as Mozart's music, Fairy Tales and Mother Goose; Gone With The Wind, the Bible,The Beatles and cotton T-shirts. Thank goodness there is still room for newer classics. I love Tolkien's universe,- and have since my early teens. So I took a picture of one of my many versions of The Hobbit. This one is in Danish!

And who did I think of when I did 'music'...
Yes, you.
Hope your weekend is going nicely. Relax, kick off your shoes and enjoy being "In the Mood"
We have that book, but in English. And yes, it is a classic.
I have a few classic books around here. An old copy of Heidi and Treasure Island, among others. Interesting that the book you photographed is in Danish.
I treasure some of my old copies of books -- but have to admit have never been able to finish reading Tolkien's works -- sort of like Tolstoy's stuff -- probably just a tad lazy LOL.
Thanks for welcome back after my wonderful holiday!
