Saturday Photo Hunt - The Theme is "Funny Signs"

Yes, Ladies and Gentlemen - there IS a town in Denmark called Middelfart. I laughed so hard the first time I saw the town sign, that I almost got lost and made a wrong turn. Middelfart is the last town before the bridge to Jutland! Look it up! Not far from there is a town called ASSens! The anecdote the Danes love to tell, is about the time the British queen came to visit Copenhagen. One of the tour planners noticed that there was a little sign that lit up in all the elevators in the hotel. The sign read: "I fart." Which, in Danish means, "in motion." To solve the problem, they covered all the signs in all the elevators of this hotel until the Royal visit had ended! Can you imagine everyone getting in these elevators and thinking, Wow, this elevator has gas!?
Happy Weekend

Good you gave the explanation. Funny the same word can mean different thing in different languages. Good one for this week's theme.

Haha, it's allways funny to find names in other countries that has a very different meaning in your own language.

For instance, you can go to Hell in Norway;) It's even a Railwaystation in Hell and Hell hotel.
